💬 When You're Not Ready… The Spirit Is

 

Have you ever felt like you’re not ready?

Not ready to make that big decision.
Not ready to forgive.
Not ready to change.
Not ready to face what's next.

If you’re nodding your head… you’re not alone. Even the Apostles, who walked with Jesus, weren't ready. And He knew it. That’s why He said in John 16:12 “You cannot bear it now.”

But here's the Good News: God doesn’t rush us. He walks with us.

🌬 The Holy Spirit Knows What We Need – And When

Jesus promised us the Holy Spirit, not as a last-minute thought, but as an essential guide. The Spirit is patient, wise, and personal. He doesn’t overwhelm. He leads gently – truth by truth, step by step.

As a family, as individuals, this is comforting. It means:

• You don’t have to have it all figured out today.

• You can let go of the pressure to be perfect.

• You are allowed to grow slowly – with God.

Overwhelming thoughts often come from “all-or-nothing” thinking: “If I don’t get it right now, I’ll fail.” But Jesus teaches us the opposite: “You can’t bear it now… but later, you will.”

Mums, dads, children—each of us is on a journey. And sometimes family life feels too loud, too messy, too fast. But the Holy Spirit speaks even in the chaos.

• A kind word shared during dinner.

• A pause before reacting in anger.

• A family prayer whispered before sleep.

These are small ways the Spirit is at work, revealing truth, guiding love.

Let’s make space at home—not just for wifi and screens—but for the Spirit. Turn off the noise for a few minutes each day, and invite Him in. He knows your heart, your limits, and your dreams.

What Jesus withheld then, He now gives through the Spirit. But He gives it in portions our hearts can carry.
Not to crush us—but to build us.
